Patti Sullivan has published one chapbook of her poetry, For The Day, DeerTree Press.
Other poems have appeared in Solo Novo, Café Solo, both from Solo Press, ARTLIFE, Askew, Hummingbird, Skylark, Women’s Press The Tribune, The New Times, and If & When.
She is also a visual artist and collaborations with her husband, poet Kevin Patrick Sullivan have produced several artist books and exhibits combining art and poetry.
Her abstract paintings and collages have been displayed at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art, The Morro Bay Community Center, Opsis Gallery, Art Lives Here and several cafes, salons, and restaurants that support local artists.
Artwork in print includes Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, ARTLIFE, Voce Piena, Café Solo, and The Space Between Things, poems by Kevin Patrick Sullivan, DeerTree Press .
As inspiration, Patti relies on the beauty that abounds in San Luis Obispo, where she makes her home. It also helps to own a large collection of old family photos – a natural stepping off place for story-telling.
It has been my privilege these past several years to assist with the Annual San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival, now celebrating its 30th year. The experience of meeting and hearing a hugely diverse collection of poets from all over the country has been a remarkable and life enriching joy.
