Chloe Viner has been writing poetry for twenty years. Her first chapbook of poetry, Naked Under an Umbrella, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2011. Her second book, What the Rain Said Last Night, is forthcoming by Future Cycle Press. Individual poems by Viner have been published in Poetry Quarterly, Wolf Warriors, MadSwirl, Down in the Dirt, Haggard and Halloo, Eskimopie, and Zygote in my Coffee. Viner has been mentoring with author Cait Johnson and is hard at work on her first full length book of poetry.
When not writing poetry, Viner likes to enjoy the outdoors in rural Vermont where she lives with her husband, her dog, Haley, cat, Milo, and seven chickens. She works as a lobbyist for Vermont League of Cities and Towns. Viner enjoys finely crafted puns and movies from the 50s. She likes to support local Vermont businesses – particularly when those businesses make beer, cheese, and ice cream. Viner enjoys attending Buddhist retreats and baking key lime pies.
