Between Then and Now by Terry Cox-Joseph
$14.99
With an artist’s eye for detail, Terry Cox-Joseph meditates on the joys of long life and the pains of dementia, exploring “that flawless interval when a moment / lasts a year.”
–Bill Glose, author of Personal Geography, Half a Man, and The Human Touch
Memories, illuminated by stellar images, blaze with clarity in Terry Cox-Joseph’s Between Then and Now. An accomplished artist, the author relies on visual astuteness to recreate indelible moments of her past in poems that serve as curative antidotes. Whether confronting a brother’s cancer, a father’s memory loss, or a cousin’s drug addiction, Cox-Joseph retreats to her art studio or to a writing desk for therapeutic relief. Like the ethereal colors well-rendered in her artwork, every word matters in this chapbook that captures truths we often fail to address.
–Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda, Virginia Poet Laureate Emerita
