“Reading Today I Threw My Watch Away, one might think the reverse of Frost’s “A poem begins in delight and ends in wisdom.”  I anticipate envy in poets who, unlike Georgia Ressmeyer, published their first book without having waited on—let alone wrestled with—the world for the stillness that comes from wisdom.  As for delight—time, space, and weather are here made vibrantly alive by a refreshingly romantic and resilient sensibility, an air about her in casks of near-classicism that, when released, when experienced, turns into whirlwinds of words through every season—in chronological order, of course—not a syllable wasted nor out of whack.”

–Karl Elder, author of Gilgamesh at the Bellagio
