Where I Live Some of the Time by Barry Vitcov

Barry Vitcov’s poems range far: the close examination of a Persian rug, the mystery of a guitar in a ditch, a bird on a Tel Aviv street. But all through his work is a tenderness, an attention to the smallest details. By turns funny, wise, and exasperated, these poems always return to a sense of longing for what binds us—person to person, person to dog, person to world.

–Amy Miller, Louis Award winner for The Trouble with New England Girls

Barry Vitcov‘s “Where I Live Some of the Time” offers readers those hard-to-articulate moments that give life meaning and melody. With precise language and a delight in sound, his poetry takes us on a road trip of sorts, where we can stop and marvel at the quirkiness of nature, politics, love and aging–all with clarity  and perfect punctuation.

–Angela Decker, author of Splendid Catastrophe

Barry Vitcov‘s “Where I Live Some of the Time” celebrates the everyday with tender attention to detail, and a great love of life. What could be better in a poem?”

–Tod Davies, editorial director of Exterminating Angel Press
