Karen I. Jaquish has worked as an economic analyst, health care writer and university lecturer. Originally from Detroit, she currently lives in Bright, Indiana. She was a winner of the Discovery/The Nation Poetry Competition and two Individual Artist grants from the State of Indiana. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Vermont College of Fine Arts. What Remains from Finishing Line Press is her first published chapbook. Her poems have been published in journals such as Prairie Schooner, Hopewell Review, and Mankato Poetry Review.
