Kitchen Zen and Now by Nancy Jane Earnest

A bit about my book:

As a writer who enjoys her garden and cooking, I recognize that my creative energy flows freely in places where I spend time doing things that I love. My kitchen has traditionally been one of those places.

The kitchen is a gathering place for family and friends, a classroom, safe haven, a place of longing. In its space I can experiment, laugh, cry, struggle with unspoken feelings, or prepare the gift of food for a special occasion.

I have been fortunate to live in southern Appalachia where food matters. I have been nurtured by numerous relatives and friends in various kitchens in and near my hometown. What I learned and experienced I share with you here. Good food, humorous episodes, memories, and quiet times in the garden are bountiful subjects for this collection.
