More Silver Than Gold by Jordan Karnes

$13.99

More Silver than Gold shows how extraordinary the everyday is when actually attended to and given form that captures its mutability. Karnes plugs words right into the current of life, making sparks in the slight gaps between thought and observation. Watson’s torqued drawings are a perfect image-equivalent of Karnes’ poems, and together they create an intimate space with “enough sky for all they’ve got to say” that you’ll never want to leave.
–DENISE NEWMAN, THE NEW MAKE BELIEVE, WILD GOODS

The poems in More Silver than Gold start and stop and travel great distances; the interplay between Jordan’s lines and Heather’s drawings enact this movement in a way that allows the reader to simultaneously feel anchored and pulled. This chapbook is a reminder that there is nothing I wouldn’t read if Jordan wrote it.
