Music for the Other Voices by Mark J. Mitchell

It is often expressed that music is the only natural completion of a journey started by words. These poems ascend to the level of the music they seek to express, because they are written from that mysterious sphere between true love and its verbal expression, and they come to the reader on that delicate spiritual plane that only those who can truly hear music understand. These beautiful poems movingly illuminate the difference between listening and hearing. If you love music and don’t know why, read these poems. If you seek to understand music’s unexplainable spiritual power, read them again.
