Rose Bromberg is a Pushcart Prize-nominated poet. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals, including RUNE (The MIT Journal of Arts & Letters), The Healing Muse (SUNY Upstate Medical University), Southern Indiana Review and elsewhere.
She is a poetry reader for the Bellevue Literary Review, a journal published twice a year by the New York University Langone Medical Center. Rose also pursues a unique art form she calls Poetography, which combines her work in both poetry and photography.
At Columbia University Medical Center, she has facilitated poetry workshops, and has created and spearheaded Poem Mobile, a program to bring poems into medical waiting rooms. Rose has also been involved in the Program in Narrative Medicine, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University.
Poemedica is Rose’s first poetry chapbook, selected for publication in the 2010 Finishing Line Press Open Chapbook Competition. Each poem in this collection conveys its own unique medical narrative. Together, the poems represent a larger story, a powerful portrait of the patient experience.
