the invisible heroine, my poetry chapbook from Finishing Line Press, is out and fluttering around the earth like wildflowers in an afternoon breeze.

 

These poems began in my heart, as a seed of an idea. They grew there. Some blossomed. Others wilted. I gathered the blooms into a bouquet, one by one, until it was complete.

Phyllis Hemann is from Arkansas where she writes and teaches writing. She holds a M.F.A. from Antioch University Los Angeles and B.A.’s from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and St. Gregory’s University. She is the author of the invisible heroine (Finishing Line Press). She is the former Arkansas Regional Advisor for the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI).
