ANNA MAE PERILLO is a poet who writes at the Jersey Shore, in New York City and just about anywhere else her voice and the voices of others including her ancestors command she take notice. She has also recently completed her first novel, Porcelain and her second short play, Mariana & the Wild Boars. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English & Education, minor in Dance from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University. Anna Mae has taught as an adjunct faculty member in the Writing Department at Brookdale Community College and practices law in Red Bank, New Jersey primarily as a divorce mediator. As a pioneer of peaceful resolution, she teaches mediation skills to other professionals. Anna Mae gives poetry readings in New York City, Miami, and in a digital global village as a member of the International Women’s Writing Guild. She is also a proud member of the Poet’s House. She fights to choose only the best of what she wishes to inherit and gets frustrated that the choices are not always in our control. She believes ultimately, this book’s message is one of hope and strength.
