Tom Driscoll has published three previous collections of poetry—Odd Numbers, Instead of Peace, and Absence Singing as well as several chapbooks, a collection of song lyrics, and selection of short prose. He lives in Lowell Massachusetts with his wife, artist Denise Driscoll.

I was lucky enough to read an early manuscript of this book. I can’t wait for the completed project. Tom’s poems create spaces where readers can doubt, believe, ponder, or grieve. They help me to do the work of being human.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection! Driscoll has a gift for locating the liminal spaces between present awareness, spiritual sensation, memory, and myth. Many of his stanzas share formative moments of personal importance. Others speak to the intersubjective ties that bind us all. Five stars are not enough!!!

Driscoll offers intellectual insight into the inner workings of man. Rarely do you see such a poet so prone to prose that cover spiritual and spatial ground for one to say, “woah, I gotta read that, again!” 5 stars for the Champion of Doubt.

Reading Tom’s poetry feels like he’s gently resting his hand on your shoulder saying, “I’ve been there, too.” His raw honesty and inquisitive mind are refreshing throughout his pieces. Where others prefer to keep difficult life events hidden in a dark corner, Tom provides a flashlight.
