The Day the World Ends is a book of “imagined endings”. It is a reminder that we are “a dying species”, and that in time “our human mightiness” will crumble. It is a “calling home”, a necessary reminder that “love is beauty…no less grand without forever”. Helen Weil has woven a haunting melody of loss and gifted us with an exquisite tribute to life.
